Chores

Well, let's see. This past week, I:
  • Loaded 50 bales of hay (about one ton) in the truck and made delivery
  • Loaded a cord of firewood in the truck (with help from [livejournal.com profile] helwen and my father) and made delivery (along with two bales of hay that I stuffed into the cab of the truck)
  • Sent 12 bales of hay down from the top of the barn to the bottom of the barn (drop of about 4 floors, using an internal silo as a hay shaft) and stacked them, to be fed to the cattle — didn't break any this time
  • Moved about cord of firewood from the west end of the basement and stacked it in the central room of the basement
  • Bought a few #4 screw eyes, turning two of them into #4 screw hooks (hardware store didn't have quite what I wanted), so that I can repair the “hay for sale” sign that was blown down last week
That seems reasonably busy to me.

Should probably go move some more firewood in the basement after lunch.  There's at least another cord to move.

So a question for you and Helwen: I'd love to do a dance practice during weekly fighter practice (either during the first hour when no one's actually fighting, or maybe in another room). It occurs to me that I might be able to drum up some interest if I pass out flyers during dance classes at Novice Scola, so I should get this figured out soon. What do you think? Is that a good time/space for dance practice? I'd really love to get some dancing going in Bergental, and I'd be happy to lead it so it happens.

It sounds like a great idea. I suggest that you contact Baron Cedric (cedric18 AT comcast DOT net) to see if there is space that you can use for a dance practice.
