Anyone have a general idea of how many oz. of yarn would be needed to crochet an afghan for a full-size bed? Could be granny squares, could be afghan stitch squares, could be something completely different (sampler squares, straight rows of stitching).

I'm just curious. No projects percolating in the back of my brain, no sir, nope...

I bought 17 skeins of Red Heart Super Saver for a 9' x 9' giant granny square afghan (36 squares, each 18" x 18") and I may need more. 12 of the skeins were the 7 oz size, the remaining 5 were the smaller 5 oz multi-colored variety. I've only got 3 1/2 squares finished yet, so we'll see if I have enough or if my math-fu deserted me. *g* If I have enough, that will be 109 oz, or just a hair under 7 lbs.
