No, young mephitis mephitis, you really do not want to be walking about our driveway at 1:00 PM in the afternoon. That tends to make us nervous, being seen as atypical behavior for one of your kind.

Plus, I mean, really, now we have to keep the dog locked in the house until you're gone…

Argh. Sympathies!
We have a rather large example of the breed that lives in a hollow stump on the next door neighbors side yard. Our landlord has a well stocked bird feeder on that side of our building.
Nightly smelly visitations to that birdfeeder are his order of the night, and drive our pups crazy. Our dogs have each been sprayed at least once in the last 6 months on evening potty-breaks.
We hates it.

Oh, its a skunk! I had to look it up. Never suffered from skunkitis living this side of the pond. Never even seen one, let alone smelt one. They look so lovely, but I can sure understand that you wouldn't want one for a neighbour.

They look lovely, but they really waddle when they run -- that image makes them look cute, in a clumsy sort of way.

But as I understand it, they have the most potent musk of any animal, and humans can smell it at 1 part per million...
