How did you spend _your_ Sunday?
Apr. 26th, 2009 03:18 pmWe did not spend our Sunday morning and mid-day as planned.
We had planned on working in the garden, raking the branches out of the flower beds, and general yard clean-up.
We had not planned on having to take the van to our mechanics to replace the front brake pads (well, one of them; the other was pretty much missing), rotors (they're not supposed to look like old shiny LPs), and calipers (they really are supposed to retract), as well as the rear brake drum hardware (isn't there supposed to be a bolt and spring right there?) and rear shock absorbers (you shouldn't be able to push your finger through the outside of the shocks).
It was amusing, though, to watch two of the mechanics using a sledge hammer to knock one of the rear drums free. According to them, they have to do that a lot.
But now we won't need to worry about that again for a while...
