Mighty Hunter

Peredur Mawr, the younger, larger cat.

Thunder of paws down the hallway in the early morning hours.

We accept your gifts and offerings, and have put them in a special place.

Two days, two deer mice. Greater than any mechanical trap.

*snicker* Please tell me he didn't leave the gifts on the pillow....

No, he left them in the middle of the living room floor. I think he's decided that the one time he left one under the skirts of the ottoman in the bedroom, it took us too long to show our appreciation...

I have three cats, and the youngest, Max, was given a container of catnip with "meece" (artifical) inside it. I remember coming downstairs one morning, thinking "well, with three cats I'm not going to have a problem with real mice in the place", when I stepped into the main area and saw a large brown mouse on the floor. I also remember thinking "that's a bit large for Max's other brown mouse" - when it moved. Max (pictured) just sat and watched it. I immediately went to get a cloth to grab it and put it back outside, but when I got back, it had disappeared - as had Max. [BTW, 'Max' is short for Maximum cute, Maximum fluffy, Maximum mischief, Maximum helter-skelter... You get the idea! :) ]
And congratulations to
I never found the carcass - whether it died then and there or from starvation later - and it's a good job that I don't mind real mice. It's just that I'd prefer them not in my house!
And congratulations to Peredur Mawr.
