OK, what the heck was that?

Well, for some reason my domain login at work was temporarily disabled starting at Noon today. First I couldn't access the servers, then couldn't access the VPN, and then couldn't access the email server. Tried to call my supervisor, but he wasn't in his office, nor available to IM nor email (from my gmail account).

I have sympathized with people who've been laid off and are out of work, and I've seen stories from people who found out they were laid off starting with being unable to access their work accounts.

Talk about getting really nervous...

The login was restored about 1:15 PM, and I got an IM reply from my supervisor about 5 minutes after that. He had no idea why my domain login would have been disabled.

Adrenalin levels are decreasing slowly...

Working around computer services for so many years, every time my computer login at work fails to work, I tend to get nervous myself.
