The installation of the new stove is finally complete -- all that remained was to make the proper size hole through the chimney liner.

I have made a quick test burn in the stove to check the draught; it looks good to me. Over the next few days, I will be making a couple of small "burn in" fires to season the stove, before putting in a regular fire in it.

This is to supplement the heat from the wood furnace in the basement, which heats water for a parallel hot water radiator system for the house (the downstairs has a full kitchen stove for supplemental heat). We will be getting a fan to go on top of the stove that runs off the heat from the stove, to direct the heat out of our kitchen into the rest of the apartment.
