Travelling
Sep. 26th, 2008 03:58 pmIn late October, I will be attending a mandatory employee conference in Kissimmee, FL. I live in western Massachusetts.
People who know me well know that I dislike flying, intensely. I have a very sensitive inner ear, balance-wise, and an overactive imagination, which don't go well together on an airplane. I will fly, if I feel that I have a good enough reason, especially when there isn't an good alternative (such as our trip to China in 2002).
But in this case, I have enough patience to be able to take alternative transportation.
I will be taking Amtrak from Massachusetts to Florida and back again.
This will be an interesting adventure. ;-)

Date: 2008-09-26 08:37 pm (UTC)(On the West Coast, passenger trains take second precedence to freight so the Coast Starlight leaves LA on time and arrives in Seattle maybe 12 hours late. Only viable if one has lots of spare time and ditto patience.)
