A brief update

My mother's initial recovery from her knee replacement surgery went well. During the first day of her PT in the hospital, she was able to bend her knee to 110°, and she was seemingly comfortable and cheerful.

The second day, she had a lot more discomfort, and the incision had continued to bleed, requiring two units of whole blood. This morning she appears to be doing better, more comfortable again, but her departure from the hospital and subsequent stay in a rehabilitation center have been delayed to tomorrow at the earliest.
