Family health post
Feb. 28th, 2010 12:13 pmMy father is ill, and needed to be taken to the hospital late Friday night. The working hypothesis late Friday night/really early Saturday morning was that he had some kind of infection and of blockage of one kidney, so he was transferred from the local hospital down to the large hospital in Springfield.
They have been treating him with antibiotics, which he was responding to at first, but is doing worse today than yesterday. We received word a short time ago that he was going into sepsis, so immediate local family (my mother, my brother Ray, and the two of us) are going down to the hospital (over an hour away). Other members of the family (my nephew Curtis) will be at the farm holding down the fort and continuing to get ready for sugaring.
Positive thoughts, energy, and prayers are welcome.
Take care, everyone!
*hugs*
And if you haven't said "I love you" or given a hug or something to your loved ones lately, I highly recommend it.
