The cattle are back in the barn. The fence is fixed, including replacing two missing insulators. The cattle are staying in the barn until tomorrow — I don't want to have to track them down again right now. I gave them hay and grain, to keep them happy. I'll give them more this evening. They have water in an old clawfoot bathtub that we keep there for that purpose.
Honestly, it looked like that section of fencing have never been finished, but I have word from my brother (whose son set that fence up) that it had definitely been finished; he had checked it himself. So, it looks like someone may have dismantled it for some reason. Thanks so much.
Chickens are taken care of. Eggs have been delivered to the local store (12 dozen, to supplement the 16 dozen that we took up 2 days ago). We also packaged up 12 pts of maple syrup to ship out, and dropped that at the post office while we were in town.
*sigh* I'm going to go take a nap.
