Chores for Thursday

Morning:

• Verified that cattle were still in the pasture
• Gathered eggs (26)
• Fed chickens
• Adjusted light timer
• Put in last set of windows in chicken rooms for cold weather
• Loaded some items on trailer for transport to Ashfield Fall Festival prep tomorrow
• Sorted, packaged, and delivered eight dozen eggs to local general store

Afternoon:

• Worked with brother and nephew to unload bags of poultry feed from pallet
• Gathered eggs (9)
• Fed chickens
• Laughed at sound of bantam rooster crowing (sounds like full-sized rooster with laryngitis)
• Closed windows against cold for the night
• Put bags of sugar in crates for Fall Festival

Tonight:

• Wash pan of cotton candy machine (delayed to Friday)
• Double-check that light timer turns out lights at the correct time tonight — if not, turn them off manually
