Minks vs. live traps

Yesterday, caught a neighbor's cat in one of the live traps. Stupid cat.

Caught the second, smaller mink today in the same trap, after it had killed a total of 13 hens.

The traps will remain set for the foreseeable future (or at least until after mating season).

Between the two of them, they have accounted for 20 hens.

The first of the two mink was in with the hens during the daylight, at about 10:00 AM, in broad daylight (not even a cloudy day). I don't think a nightlight would have helped in that circumstance. ;-)
