Several years ago the Natural History Museum in Halifax [the one that's currently holding the "A T.Rex called Sue" exhibit - which was fascinating! :) ] decided to hold an exhibit on peepers and their gradual progression across the province from the south-west. When they reached the city a HUGE peeper frog (at least one storey tall) went up on the side of the building, peering around one corner. It was so popular that they've brought it back every year around the same time. Now THAT is cool! :)

Snow still to the kneecaps. First robin, yesterday. Hope he enjoys frozen worms :-/
On the spring side of things: coltsfoot aplenty. The first sign of this turn of the cycle.
