The surgery's the least part of it -- it's the post-op PT that matters in attaining a good range of motion and function. If she wants to talk to a veteran of the procedure, give me a shout -- I'd be happy to help out.
Having had both of my knees replaced not that long ago, I can certainly relate! I agree totally with the post-surgery PT being extremely important - without that I am not sure I would be walking as well as I do today.
